Wislica
Wislica is certainly the richest historical complex in Ponidzie Region (Southern Poland). It`s history dates back to the IXth c. and it`s associated with famous Vistulan tribe. Medieval period is the time, when Wislica became an important centre of court, intellectual and political life, third one after royal Krakow and Sandomierz. Thanks to joint effort of historians, archaeologists, art specialists, conservators and many others, the remains of these times are tangible prove of magnificence.

Undermentioned monuments are available for tourists (most of them only with tour guide):
- Gothic Minor Basilica of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary from XVth c. also known as Smiling Madonna Sanctuary, half low-relief dated back to XIIIth c.;
- The Belfry founded by Jan Dlugosz from XVth c.;
- The house for canons and assistant curates, so-called House of Jan Dlugosz, from XVth c. with beautiful original wall paintings;
- The vaults of gothic Basilica with remaines of two Romanesque churches (from XIIth and XIIIth c.);
- The unique Slab of Orants (or Plate of Orants) from XIIth c.;
- The Archaeological Pavilion covering the remaines of Xth c. Romanesque church and the famous gypsum Baptismal Font from yr. 880;
- Early medieval fortified settlement fom the end of Xth c.;
