Kanawha City is located on the south side of the Kanawha River in the City of Charleston. The Community is bound by 19th Street to the west, 72nd Street to the east, the Kanawha River to the north and ridge tops to the south. Key landmarks, such as the University of Charleston, Watt Powell Park, and the Charleston Area Medical Center (Memorial Division), are located within the Community.
