000 Call leads to drug arrest, Cairns North

Cairns police made an unexpected find at a Mc Leod Street residence on Saturday night after responding to a triple O call. Police were conducting follow up inquiries after the call was terminated. When the residents eventually answered the door police conducted an emergent search of the address and allegedly located implements used in the administration of drugs. A 19-year-old Cairns North man was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a utensil. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on January 25.
