Then held four other coaching positions before going to Texas A&M, where he coached, 1908-1913, and at Carlisle Indian School, 1914-1915. After seven years at Centre, then went to Bucknell University, 1923-1925; Catawba College, 1929-1939. National League umpire, 1917-1939. Officiated at four baseball World Series-1927, 1929, 1933, and 1938. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, 1879. University of Tennessee, 1897. Resident of Horse Cave. Died, 1949. Interred Horse Cave Cemetery.
