Marker reads, Destroyed three times by Confederate States Army. Partially razed on September 7, 1862, by troops under Colonel John Hutcheson. During the occupation of Shepherdsville, September 28, Braxton Braggs troops again destroyed it, but new bridge was up by October 11. After Battle of Elizabethtown, December 27, John Hunt Morgans men moved along tracks, destroying everything on way to trestle works at Muldraughs Hill.
