08/21/2009 About 3:30 p.m. Thursday, city Animal Care & Control officers received a call from someone who saw a 3-foot alligator in the river off North Damen Avenue between Fullerton and Diversey, according to spokesman Mark Rosenthal. The animal was captured later that day.
