When you spend your whole life living in New York, riding on a train is the only possible way to get around. Stuffing yourself into a car full of strangers makes you feel like a small sardine in a can. It's ventilation & the lack of space makes this a very uncomfortable ride counting down the number of stops left before you can relieve yourself from this horrid environment. 10... 9... 8... 7... suddenly you feel the coolness of metal inside your jacket pocket. SALVATION! It's your mp3 player! By quickly stuffing the earphones into your ears, you can drown out the noisy clatter of the underground traffic & engulf yourself with the sound of musical instruments playing a sequence of notes. *Ding, your stop has come & your free from being crushed by the lady that had to steal the seat next to you & the ability to breathe somewhat fresh air.
