Marker reads, Munfordville Presbyterian Church, founded, 1829. In Sept., 1862, during the siege of Munfordville, the Union Army commandeered this church for use as a hospital with nurses quarters in house at left. Those who died in battle or of wounds removed to Nashville; 359 who died from other causes buried in scattered and unmarked graves. CSA casualties buried on field.
