'A Vision of Hope' is a sculpture designed and built by Michelle Mitchell in Edmonton to honor the memory of the 14 women, 13 engineering students and 1 employee, killed at l'École Polytechnique in Montreal, December 6, 1989.
The forms of three women portray three stages of suffering and survival – despair, grief and hope – stages that a woman goes through when she is abused and survives.
