Haberdasher Square Lofts, a Neo-Gothic 226-unit condominium building, was designed by noted architect Alfred S. Alschuler. Construction of the building began in 1925. It is one of a few Alschuler buildings that has not been demolished. One of the most evocative of Alschuler's extant buildings is the London Guarantee Building, remarkable for the templetto on the top, gracefully setting off the curved ediface, located on East Wacker and North Michigan.
