Cairns police have charged a 29-year-old Manoora man with two counts of obstructing or hindering an ambulance officer. It is alleged that the two ambulance officers responded to a call for assistance in Alfred Street, Manoora. It is further alleged that while the male and female officers were assisting the man he became violent and threatening. The officers called for urgent assistance and police responded and arrested him under the Ambulance Services Act. He will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on October 6.
