A great family favorite is the American Air Power Museum in Farmingdale, NY. – Just 15 minutes from The Inn At Fox Hollow Hotel. There are tons of displays that teach about the history of military aviation in the United States, while at the same time presenting the larger context of those wars and conflicts as a whole. There is a huge collection of vintage aircraft, many dating from World War I and World War II, which guests can enter to get a feeling for what life was like for those pioneering American aviators. There is ample opportunity to learn about each of the planes and what role they played in defending the United States from its enemies.
