Detectives investigating an armed robbery of a souvenir shop have released these images of a man they believe may be able to assist in their investigation. At about 9.20pm on August 5, a man walked into a souvenir shop on Shields Street, Cairns where he allegedly threatened the shop attendant with a knife before fleeing on foot with a sum of cash. The man ran south toward the Lake Street Mall. The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 20-25 years with a proportionate build. He was wearing dark track suit pants with white stripes down the side, a grey long sleeve shirt and thongs.
