Detectives from the Child Protection and Investigation Unit yesterday arrested a 14-year-old Earlville boy as a result of investigations into an assault and wilful damage at a Cairns North convenience store around 7.20am yesterday. The youth was charged with unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, common assault and possession of tainted property. He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act. Police investigations into the incident are continuing, further arrests are expected.
