A 21-year-old Marcoola man will appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on June 7 charged with two counts of common assault. It is alleged the man punched a 20-year-old barman in the face then threw a plastic drink glass at a 20-year-old woman at a licensed venue in Grafton Street, Cairns at 12.05am today. Both 20-year-olds sustained bruising to their faces.
