Assault occasioning bodily harm, Westcourt

Detectives are investigating a robbery on Aumuller Street, near the intersection of Scott Street, Westcourt yesterday evening. Three teens, two aged 17 and one aged 15 caught a bus from the city and alighted in Aumuller Street about 7.20pm where they were approached by a group of four youths. One youth, described as a male of Caucasian appearance wearing a white singlet and a blue baseball cap asked them for money. Another, described as a male of Indigenous appearance, large build, 185-190cm and wearing a black baggy t-shirt then hit the 15-year-old boy in the head with what is believed to be a metal baseball bat. The Caucasian male punched one of the 17-year-olds in the face a number of times before the trio fled to a nearby tavern where police and Ambulance were called.
