Boat fire, Yorkey’s Knob

Police and the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service attended a luxury boat fire at the Yorkey’s Knob Marina which occurred around 3.30am this morning. The owner’s who were on board at the time woke to find smoke coming from the engine room. Despite the fire taking several hours to extinguish there was no immediate threat to other boats in the vicinity. The occupants managed to escape without injury. The vessel was completely destroyed as a result of the blaze and Police investigations are continuing.
