Boyd is an excellent place to sit and listen to calls of secretive marshbirds—bitterns as well as sora and Virginia rails. Other species to watch for include: trumpeter swans, Forester’s terns, pied-billed grebes, semipalmated sandpipers and short-billed dowitchers.
