Brake Hill
Category: Abandoned Ski Areas
**April 2008:**
Trails: Absolutely nothing still stands that would be recognizable as a ski trail/slope. The forest is pretty uniform at this point.
Lifts: Several ropetow pulley car rims were scattered along the hillside, but in a very non-linear fashion. The base drive for the lift still stood, albeit falling apart quite badly. The motor was still in there, rusting away. The return bullwheel at the summit still had yellow paint on it, but was now incorporated into some very interesting and complex treehouses near the summit of the hill.
Facilities: The former base lodge (or part of it anyway) is now a pizzeria near the old base area.
Accessibility: You'd never know this place was here if you didn't know about it beforehand, and access to the former ski tow remnants is quite difficult. Lots of bushwhacking required.
