Smithfield Detectives are investigating a break and enter and the theft of a motor vehicle from a Moore Street apartment complex at Trinity Beach overnight on Monday. Thieves gained entry to one unit by unknown means and stole a sum of money as well as sunglasses and personal cards. The occupant of a neighbouring unit also had her car stolen after inadvertently leaving her keys in the front door lock. The stolen vehicle is described as being a silver 2000 model Toyota Corolla hatchback with Queensland registration 613-FNC. QP1000761995; QP1000762101.
