Police are investigating numerous break-ins that have occurred at a tavern on Pease Street. It is believed that the break-ins occurred on Sunday, January 24, Thursday February 4 and Saturday February 6. Police are investigating whether or not the incidents are related. On all three occasions, entry has been forced to the premises causing damage to the building and quantities of alcohol have been stolen. It is believed that the offender for the latest incident on Saturday night is a male of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 18-years-old, wearing a black singlet with blue writing, white and black board shorts and a distinctive baseball cap with mixed fluorescent colours. He was also carrying a red and black backpack.
