Smithfield Police are investigating a break and enter that occurred at a Vasey Esplanade café early on Tuesday morning. Two males forced entry to the premises around 3.30am and stole a cash tin. The offenders were disturbed by a waste disposal worker and fled the scene leaving the cash tin with its contents intact. They left the scene in a white tray back utility. The males are described as being teenage males of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance.
