This imposing fortified castle was edified during the Middle Ages on an original Roman settlement. Its towers, walls, and bastions dominate the whole town of Brescia. A huge park surrounds the castle. The museum of Ancient Weapons “Luigi Marzoli” and the Risorgimento Museum are both accommodated in the Visconti donjon and the storehouses of “Grande and Piccolo Miglio”.
