Dan's Lost Ski Area Explorations

**August 2011**
Trails: Just about completely grown in at this point, from what I could see from Lakeside Ave.
Lifts: Still don't know, but I'd presume all elements have been removed at this point with all the construction that's gone on within the past few years.
Facilities: Anything ski area related presumed lost at this point.
Accessibility: A new road into the old ski area has been constructed, with a LARGE gatehouse at the entrance. A new paved road that leads down to Lakeside Ave could provide access, but I didn't hike it at the time. Looks like the new homes have been built right on the old trails.

**Summer 2006**
Trails: Continued growth makes distinguishing where trails were more difficult with each passing year.
Lifts: Still unknown.
Facilities: Same, although ski area sign converted into ad for new luxury condos to be built on the site of the former ski area, which will likely wipe out any and all remains of the ski area.
Accessibility: The road was opened and accessible at this point in time, though it was a bit of a confusing maze that didn't really seem to lead anywhere.

**August 2004**
Trails: Most easily visible from out on the lake. Still definitely discernible but new growth is charging forward at a steady pace to fill them in.
Lifts: Still unknown.
Facilities: Unknown. Presumed same.
Accessibility: I didn't actually physically visit the property in this entry, but was actually on a boat out on the lake, which provides the best views of the ski area. Must have been a great lake view from the ski area itself!

**Summer 2002**
Trails: Nothing visible from the road, but former ski trails are DEFINITELY visible from the lake, although they are growing in fairly quickly.
Lifts: Unknown. Maybe a ropetow tower or two left. A chairlift that was supposedly there is likely removed.
Facilities: I believe the ski area was connected to (or associated with) an adjacent hotel, which still stands, but looks to be in questionable condition. The old sign for the ski area still stood along the roadside however.
Accessibility: The road was blocked off at this point.
