Review: Pros:The "Sun Mountain" more than lives up to its name on a sunny day. Has a classic New England setup (it is one of the oldest ski areas in the region), but it skis big and has enough terrain diversity to keep one satiated for an entire day, (maybe even two!) Has a great vibe about it that's hard to describe but you can really feel. Skis like a bigger, better Black Mountain (NH). Cons: All that sun can REALLY make things soft once it warms up a bit. The summit area is VERY exposed meaning upper mountain chairlifts will be put on windhold more often than they should otherwise be. You'd feel like you're getting screwed on a bad weather day with all the "sun" advertising. Much larger Stratton Mountain (coined the "evil empire" by the locals) and it's big, lonnnng cruiser trails are staring you in the face directly across the valley, as is Magic Mountain with it's much more expert terrain). The Verdict: Probably the best overall area in the Southern VT "Golden Triangle" area (Bromley/Magic/Stratton), with the awesome weather and exposore being the cherry on the top.
