Smithfield police are investigating a burglary at a Rutherford Street, Yorkeys Knob residential unit overnight on Monday. Unknown offender/s entered the unit via an unlocked door and located the keys to the owner’s four wheel drive vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently stolen from the car park of the unit complex. It was later located bogged at a nearby rural property. The offender is described as being an Aboriginal male about 20 years of age.
