Review: Pros: EPIC terrain for the advanced skier. Backcountry-style skiing at the abandoned adjacent Mitersill ski area is an amazing, totally unique experience that should be enjoyed by all (a lift is being installed here, for better or for worse, for the 2010/2011 season). Generally less crowded than other areas because of intimidating terrain and lack of nearby lodging. Easy to get to, right off of I-93. Cons: Weather can be finicky. The exposed terrain is not for everybody, although beginner terrain has been expanded the past few years. Verdict: A MUST SKI for the diehards. For newer skiers and riders though, this can be a make or break mountain so plan accordingly.
