Cars seized following alleged street race, Westcourt

Police seized a sedan and a utility on Wednesday night after the two vehicles were allegedly involved in a street race on Mulgrave Road. The alleged drivers of the vehicles, both 20-year-old men from Whiterock and Edmonton respectively, were intercepted shortly before 8pm and both vehicles were impounded for a 48 hour period. They were issued with notices to appear for the offence of racing on a road and are scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court later this month. QP1100677599
