Cast Panels, Benny Lynch Court.

These large relief panels have been fitted onto new houses within a quiet courtyard off Old Rutherglen Road. They were made by artist Cath Keay working with the Gorbals Art Project, and were commissioned by New Gorbals Housing Association. They were installed in 1996 and are made of Glass Reinforced Plastic, which can be made to look like a number of materials such as polished bronze. The panels all show the acorns or cones of trees such as Larch or Douglas Fir, acorns being strong symbols of growth and regeneration.
