The octagonal size of the castle dominates one of the higher hills of the Western Murgia to south of Andria. Not there are documents that testify the age of construction of Castel of the Mount: a letter that Federico II sended 28 February from Gubbio to Riccardo di Montefuscolo, Commanded Earth xecutioner of, test that was of the jobs around to 1240.
