Suspended halfway between the more austere elegance and warmth of the most ancient dwellings of Piacenza, Vigoleno Castle stands on a ridge overlooking the river of the Stirone Nature Park. The castle contains a series of rooms that are rich in history painted on the walls, on the frescoed ceilings and on the costumes of a little theatre which was the product of a whim of a certain Duchess Maria Ruspali Gramon who between 1920 and 1935 turned it into an incomparable cultural salon, playing host to important figures from the culture and high society of the time. Upon the wish of its owner it has now become a hospitable residence, its interior structures opening up their beauties to a clientele in search of something which is uncommon and unique for either a brief stay or a restful holiday. It is also well-suited to ceremonies, gala events, conferences, conventions and seminars.
