A 25-year-old Yorkeys Knob man has been arrested after a fire at a Kavieng Street residence early this morning. Police allege the man set fire to the residence shortly before 2.00am. An occupant was able to extinguish the blaze which was confined to one bedroom of the house. The man was charged with breaking and entering with intent and arson, and is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court later today.
