Each summer, for 2 days in August, Chicago hosts its annual Air and Water Show, the oldest and largest free admission exhibition of its kind in the United States. Every year, over 2 million people enjoy the precision flying and daredevil water stunts. The event takes place at Chicago's beautiful lakefront, from Fullerton Avenue to Oak Street, with North Avenue Beach serving as the heart of event festivities. The shows typically include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights, with a number of other stunning acts throughout the 2-day event.
