Child arrested following traffic crash, Trinity Beach

A 15-year-old Kewarra Beach girl is due to appear in the Cairns Children’s Court later today after being arrested and charged with a number of offences on Tuesday afternoon. It is alleged that the girl crashed a stolen vehicle on the Captain Cook Highway near Trinity Beach at about 3.00pm yesterday. She was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, stealing, willful damage and unlicensed driving. The girl was not injured in the crash.
