Clam Pass is one of the most beautiful passes on the lower west coast. It is very narrow and shallow, so there is no boat traffic. That makes this a very tranquil pass.As you can see from the photo, the water coming out of the mangroves is dark with tannic acid from the mangrove leaves. It mixes with the clear green water of the gulf at the mouth of the pass. You can wade across the pass.
