Coe-Brown Northwood Academy FFA conducted an environmental education project that involved removing trees and invasive species on one to two acres of field that once was farmland. The acreage is near wetlands by Northwood Lake. FFA members maintained this area and tagged wetland species. Â These efforts increased the number of wetland animals as evidenced by student field reports. Wood that was removed from the site was harvested and redistributed as firewood to families in need.
