Collins Hot Springs (120F)
Address:
Washington, USA
Category: Hot Springs-unsoakable
GPS GeoCoords: 45.701,-121.728
This old resort no longer exists. Based on vintage postcards, quite a nice hotel was on the site.
When the Bonneville Dam was built, the Columbia River flooded the area upstream from the dam. Collins HS, and the site of the resort, is now under 12 feet of water. The hot spring is capped but still pumping out the 122F water. The area around the spring is reported to be a great fishing hole.
If you go down to Carson try to look for the submerged site of Collins HS.
