Undeveloped areas would make great places to start connecting our neighborhoods. Right now, one can go through vacant lots and unpaved streets to get from place to place, but if developers are allowed to create closed neighborhoods this kind of access will be permanently blocked. How about a rule that says there can be no dead-end streets in neighborhoods and that if your development backs up to another (existing or planned) development a connector street or path is required?
