Established in 1996, The Golf Club at Cuscowilla is the vision of principals Heinz Nathe, Pete Bailey and Rolf Witt. Desiring to create something special on the banks of Lake Oconee, the three developers made what would turn out to be one of many fortuitous decisions; the hiring of golf course architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. With 700 acres of gently rolling property characterized with towering pines and expansive fields of native Bluestein grasses, Coore and Crenshaw took full advantage of this uniquely suited site to lay out 18 holes of golf that lazily yet purposefully wind their way through this spectacular property. The holes build upon themselves as you make your round, with each one demanding thought as well as execution with every stroke.
