Goals:
Cedarville University proposes an FPLC dedicated to preparing and developing faculty in the area of online facilitation and teaching, especially as it relates to blended learning (hybrid) course offerings and fully online course offerings. The major goals include the following:
* Develop a robust track on our faculty development calendar for those faculty members wishing to facilitate a hybrid or fully online course.
* Develop a robust faculty web site with tools, research, course criteria and techniques for online course facilitation.
* Prepare at least ten (10) faculty to offer hybrid or full online courses by Fall 2008.
* Benchmark and share resources with other universities offering similar preparedness training to faculty.

The learning goals for this specific FPLC in using educational technologies for teaching and learning are as follows:
* Introduce learning team members to new educational technology and its possibilities.
* Adjust the faculty teaching mindset to methods more conducive to online facilitation.
* Teach the major technologies chosen for use in online courses.
* Introduce and engage the learning team members to what other colleges and universities are accomplishing with online education.
