Police have charged two 19-year-old men with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. One man was also charged with drink driving. Police were called to the intersection of Jensen and Mulligan Streets, Manoora at about 5am on Saturday after an alleged stolen vehicle crashed. It is alleged the vehicle was stolen after a second story apartment was entered and keys stolen in Florence Street, Cairns on June 18. It is alleged the two 19-year-olds and two boys aged 15 and 16 were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The juveniles were taken to the Cairns Base hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both men will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today.
