A 22-year-old Mareeba man will appear in court on drink driving charges next month. At 2.30am on Saturday police attempted to intercept a vehicle on Gold Grove Drive, Bentley Park when it allegedly sped away. The vehicle was later located in Mallicoola Crescent, Edmonton and a man located hiding in bushland nearby by the Cairns Dog Squad unit. The man was charged with one count each of drink drive, evade and obstruct police.
