etectives have charged a 40-year-old Earlville man with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle. It is alleged a detective attempted to stop a vehicle in a carpark on May 12 in relation to another matter. When the officer identified himself as police it is alleged the man accelerated toward the officer. The office was struck by the vehicle and sustained bruising and grazing. The man will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on August 22.
