Driver charged after traffic stop, Holloways Beach

Smithfield police have charged a 38-year-old Holloways Beach man following a traffic intercept on Saturday. The man allegedly attempted to flee from police but was quickly apprehended. He has been charged with disqualified driving as well as two minor drug offences and stealing. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court later this month.
