A 30-year-old Kewarra Beach man was charged with drink driving (UIL) after the car he was allegedly driving crashed on the Kuranda Range section of the Kennedy Highway early on Wednesday morning. Police were called to the crash scene at about 1.30am after the vehicle left the road and crashed into a ditch. The man was arrested after allegedly returning a breath alcohol reading of .163 per cent and is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on February 11.
