A 20-year-old Woree man is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on speeding and drink driving charges on May 18. It is alleged Edmonton Police intercepted the provisional driver on the Bruce Highway between Foster Road and the Foster Road Off Ramp at about 9.45pm on Sunday. It is further alleged the man’s speed was detected at 140kmph in an 80kmph zone with an alcohol reading of 0.105%. Provisional drivers must have a zero alcohol limit. QP1100381171
