A MAN with a two-year-old girl in his car has been charged with drink-driving after blowing almost five times the legal limit at a Cairns northern beach suburb.
The 47-year-old, from Bramston Beach, recorded a blood-alcohol level of .235 when police breath-tested him on Williams Esplanade at Palm Cove about 7pm yesterday.
Police said a girl, 2, was in the car with him at the time.
The man will appear in Cairns Magistrates’ Court on June 26 charged with driving under the influence.
