The E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse was designed to house the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and all associated support staff offices. On Constitution Avenue, in front of the Courthouse, stands a statue of Major-General George C. Meade.
