April 22nd marks the annual celebration of our earth, our community and the power each of us have to be the change. While Earth Day is celebrated around the world, we in Fernie use this day to recognize how fortunate we are to be surrounded by incredible natural beauty. This year we kick off our Earth Day celebrations by highlighting the inventive community and youth projects that make Fernie great! The Trashy but Flashy Fashion Show is an unusual fashion show that unites the elements of art, style and fashion design with the creative use of recycled and reused items. Participants are challenged to look at waste and recycled materials with a creative eye and run with their imaginations to create clothing and accessories fit for the runway. The Trashy but Flashy Fashion Show will be complete with lights, a catwalk and DJ. Entrants of all ages, from across British Columbia join us in a fashion show
