Join the global party for the planet! Get down, dig in, and make Earth Day matter. Earth Day Vancouver Celebration, produced by Evergreen (www.evergreen.ca) is a chance to get together with family and neighbours, to dance, play, and celebrate our precious planet. It´s also a chance to dig in and weed out invasive species, plant trees and wildflowers, and help restore Jericho Park to its natural beauty. Get an early taste of Folk Fest at the live Earth Day Stage, which runs from 11am to 5pm. Programmed by the Vancouver Folk Music Festival and MC´d by dj Timothy Wisdom, the diverse high-energy lineup will have all ages dancing to the spicy world fusion of Tambura Rasa, the joyous energy of the young Kunaka marimba ensemble, and more.
